My husband has been working in the green industry the past few years and we both felt it was important and exciting to live in an Energy Star home, not just for the cost-savings but to do our part in helping the environment. We love living in a walking neighborhood. In the summer we walk to the pool twice a day and the kids can walk to school. We really enjoy the close community feeling of our neighborhood.

After a lengthy search of the Triangle we chose to build at The Oaks. It was the only neighborhood that offered what we value: a high-quality custom-built home, a traditional neighborhood setting where every house is unique, and a location close to an urban core. We felt that The Oaks offered us a rare opportunity, so we seized the opportunity.
We enjoy our home, our neighbors, and easy access to downtown, Five Points, North Hills and Crabtree Valley. -

The houses are great values. My husband and I are empty-nesters and we like having an elevator and a bath for every bedroom, 10-ft. ceilings, and a beautiful brick courtyard. I can’t think of another neighborhood that’s like this one, with unique, spacious homes, and we don’t even have to maintain the yard!

I saw one of The Oaks’ homes on the Parade of Homes. I could envision all our furniture sitting in the house perfectly. We can walk to Five Points. My children can walk to school. We love the neighborhood. -

We moved here because we liked the idea of a walking neighborhood, new custom-designed home, a pool, a park and a community feeling - we got all of that and much more! Now we love it for those reasons plus all the new relationships we have made while living here. We can call on a neighbor any time of day for anything and someone is there to help out. The neighbors are like family. We can’t see ourselves any other place.

We chose to live at The Oaks because of its location, good value, and amenities. We enjoy the strong sense of community. Informal gatherings happen spontaneously at the pool and in the pocket parks; adults socialize while children make friends. -

One of the most satisfying things for me about living at The Oaks was being able to give away my lawn mower and yard tools! A maintenance-free community has given me more time to spend with my family.
